The first 'drone' photo to make it onto my annual '10 favorites' list. This aerial photo of churning ocean waters near Bean Hollow Beach - in San Mateo County, California - was taken in the late afternoon, as the setting sun lit up the waves and the coastline beyond. The Three Sisters
My favorite drone photo of 2017 was this view of the 'Three Sisters' sea stacks on the northern coast of New Zealand's Taranaki region. I like the way that the line of cliffs and waves leads your eye towards the horizon. (December 22, 2017. DJI Mavic Pro, 1/4115s @ f/2.2, 4.73 mm, ISO 100.)
