One of the many road tunnels in Norway. (This one is about 3km long; I've seen some as long as 7km.)
Thanks to North Sea oil, Norway is a very rich country. The highway system (with expensive bridges and tunnels) that they use to connect small, sparsely populated islands is quite remarkable.
