Of the many photographs that I took in 2019, these are my 10 personal favorites.
Whananaki, New Zealand

Orb Weaver
While visiting the [-38,147] Degree Confluence Point near Maffra, Victoria, Australia, I chanced upon this magnificent Orb Weaver spider. Utah Weather Station
Another chance encounter while visiting a Degree Confluence Point. While hiking to [40,-114], in a remote region of western Utah, USA, I came across this automated weather station, framed by snow-capped mountains. (June 23, 2019. Bald Eagle Posing for my Birthday
On August 11th, I celebrated my 60th birthday by making my first visit to Alaska. That evening, in Haines, Alaska, I had the good fortune to capture this bald eagle posing at the local harbor. (August 11, 2019. Nikon D7200, 1/500s @ f/16, 300mm, ISO 800.)

Macaque Eating an Orange Peel
When one thinks of Singapore, "monkeys" don't come immediately to mind. But an open space reserve in the center of the island - surrounding the country's main reservoir - contains a population of macaques. (November 19, 2019. Nikon D7200, 1/500s @ f/8, 300mm, ISO 18000.)
Frangipani Flowers
Technically, this photo - of two Frangipani flowers on a lawn in Tonga - is far from perfect, but I like its simplicity of composition. (December 4, 2019. Nikon D7200, 1/125s @ f/16, 85mm, ISO 360.)
